The Sacred Weaver Joins the Parade
Associated with morning light, growth and the sacred art of weaving, Wakahirume-no-Mikoto is an intriguing figure from Japanese mythology.
Appearing in the Nihon Shoki, Wakahirume is described as a heavenly kami who wove garments for the gods. Her precise relationship with the sun goddess Amaterasu varies between traditions—she has been understood as Amaterasu’s younger sister, child or another expression of the sun goddess herself.
Wakahime from BigGallery appears to draw inspiration from this graceful mythological figure, reimagining the sacred weaver through a contemporary collectible-art-toy design. Her quiet presence brings light, tradition and mystery to the Hundred Demons Parade Series.
This is a fixed-design figure, so you will receive the Wakahime design shown—there is no blind-box mystery and no chance of receiving another character.

Curator’s Note
Wakahime brings a different presence to the Hundred Demons Parade. Rather than a mischievous yōkai or mountain spirit, she appears connected to a sacred weaver associated with sunlight, creation and growth.
There is something especially beautiful about a figure whose mythology centres on weaving garments for the gods: separate threads becoming something meaningful when brought together. BigGallery’s interpretation turns that ancient image into a gentle and quietly mysterious collectible.
